About Barcodes
Barcodes can be a great benefit and support for any business. If you have any stock or assets you need to manage, by using a barcoding solution you can have a foolproof identification system to track.
If you are after an in-house barcoding system, there are no restrictions you need to abide by. We are able to print your barcodes as you wish, with the details you require for you or alternatively you could purchase your own printer and labels and you could print your own.
If you are requiring a barcode for a retail purpose we advise you to contact GS1. GS1 is a not-for-profit New Zealand based organisation who can allocate barcode numbers for each country. These numbers will be unique throughout the world. There are standards, requirements, and formats set for registered Barcode and GS1 will be able to advise you on all of this.
You may visit GS1 website or call 04 4941050.
When you have registered with them and received your barcode number, we will then be able to print the barcode for you in the required format or create the graphic for you to print.
If you need a barcode for a book then you need to contact the National Library of New Zealand. They will then assign a number to you and again we are able to create the image for you or your publisher to the printer or even print the barcoded labels for you.
The National Library of New Zealand contact number is 04 4743074 or online http://natlib.govt.nz/forms/isn
