The Memor mobile computer brings a host of new features designed to strengthen Datalogic’s value proposition in the area of compact and lightweight terminals. The Memor mobile computer is offered with a full portfolio of models featuring different scan engine options, including an entry-level linear imager, a top-performance laser scanner with Gorilla® Glass scan window, and a 1D scannerideal for pharmaceutical applications. All of the Memor scan engines feature Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology for good-read feedback.

Datalogic’s Pal software works hand-inhand with all of Datalogic’s Windows based mobile computers for a ready-to-use data entry solution. Four data collection applications are available: Shelf Inventory, Asset Tracking, Shelf Replenishment and Order Entry. Each application is fully customizable. User and data prompts, application titles, banner logo’s and program icons can all be edited to provide a unique look and feel to each application. Additionally, the data input requirements (i.e., text or numeric) for each data field can also be controlled with the use of ‘Pal Settings’.

SHELF INVENTORY The Shelf Inventory application is used to track inventory information. Shelf Inventory provides a choice of up to four fields and prompts. The name, order and content of these prompts can be customized using the Pal Settings. The default settings have three fields enabled: Location, Item and Quantity.

• Location: This field helps distinguish where the data was collected. If inventory data is being taken at multiple stores, each store should be given a unique identifier or name.
• Item: This is a text field. An entry can be made by entering text directly or by scanning a barcode.
• Quantity: This is a numeric field and requires a number entry.

ASSET TRACKING This application is used to track assets (furniture, phones, computers, electronic equipment, etc.) at various locations (departments, rooms, floors, buildings, etc.). This application allows the user to enter an identification code for a specific location, collect all asset ID’s at that location, and then enter another identification code for assets at a different location. A user can use up to four prompts for this program and can include additional data associated with each asset.

SHELF REPLENISHMENT This application has four pre-defined fields: Store, Shelf ID, Item and Quantity. The application loops on the ‘item’ field so that multiple items can be scanned or entered for one location. Most of the functions of Shelf Replenishment work exactly like the functions in Shelf Inventory.

ORDER ENTRY The Order Entry application has been configured to compile basic ordering information including: Site, Order ID, SKU and Quantity. Many of the functions of Order Entry work exactly like those functions in Shelf Inventory.
