KDC Range
We have had one of the KDC range of scanners in the office to test and have found it a really robust wee option for a great price. The KDC scanner is a lightweight,rugged scanner which can connect via bluetooth to Andriod, Apple products, Blackberry, Macs and windows devices. It comes complete with a lanyard and as an optional extra you can buy a finger trigger glove for even speedier entry. But the best part of this range is the free software that comes with it, within minutes I was able to create applications for verifying barcodes and a database lookup. There are also Pick/bin and Inventory applications along with a design your own and scans can be time stamped. They come in several different models including a sled which can connect to your smartphone, can include 1D or 2D scanning, long distance or short, can come with GPS, minimal keys or 19 keypad model. Product Manuals
We resorted to reading a manual the other day and came across this highly useful piece of information we wanted to share: "Reading a barcode is simple. Point the unit at a barcode and press the scan button. Be sure to point the scan engine at the barcode,not at your face, and make sure to position the light beam on the barcode." Good to know!!
