Zebra focused on usability with their printers, making them as easy to use as possible. They also built a range of printers that were inherently economical to build – the result was a range of very low cost printers.
If you don't need labels to last more than six months and no requirement for printing onto plastic, in my opinion the Zebra LP2844 does all that you need from a small desktop printer at a very good price. Things to think about however, if you need the fast production of labels, perhaps the 100 mm per second print speed may not be enough. Also, because it’s a small printer, the limited label and ribbon capacity may not be practical for volume printing. If cost and usability are still important to you, consider the S4M and ZM400.
