The Honeywell / Metrologic SP5500 OptimusS is a handy lightweight terminal that is small enough to fit in your pocket. The easy to use software enables you to be up and running in no time. The OptimusS enables you to simply scan and store your barcodes. After you have collected your data, simply drop the unit into its cradle and send the data back to Microsoft Excel (or other software) to keep your information up to date and accurate.  If you want to verify barcodes - use Microsoft Excel to create a list of products, download the lookup file and set the Optimus up to display the product descriptions as they are scanned.

Each OptimusS comes with the Optimizer software package. This graphically-oriented program allows even computer beginners to quickly and easily set up their unit. As well as great software, the OptimusS comes with a long list of other features. 2MB of RAM (storage for 2 million characters) to accommodate a large inventory. With convenient Lithium Ion rechargable batteries,  you no longer have to worry about batteries running out at critical times.  With a battery life of approximately 100 hours it will complete even the most demanding shift before needing to be recharged.  All these features and the excellent laser barcode scanning you've come to expect from Metrologic products make the Optimus perfect for your data collection needs.
