If you want a simple way to manage your stock or assets - our two tracking solutions will be just what you need.  Designed around the low cost and reliable range of Metrologic OptimusS and more industrial Metrologic OptimusR hand held terminals with built-in barcode scanner and Microsoft Excel (please note you will need to purchase Excel), these solutions are simple to set up and easy to use.  The Optimus collects the data and formats it before downloading it - so it can be opened by any spreadsheet or text editor and read.

Our Simple asset tracking solution is designed for the organisation with fewer than 1000 assets.  For larger organisations, or where you want a solution to add, dispose, lend out and edit asset data on the handheld or desktop with a large number of pre-designed reports, our more powerful MobileAsset product is better suited.

Screen on the Optimus S	The scanner prompts you to scan the location (i.e. room code) then the asset codes.  Scanning a room's worth of assets can be done in minutes.  The data is kept simple with columns devoted to date, time, room code and asset code.  Using a pre-prepared spreadsheet of asset codes and descriptions, this can be downloaded to the Optimus so a short asset description can be displayed on screen and downloaded at the end of scanning.
Optimus S terminal	Once you have scanned your assets, place the terminal in it's cradle.  Press F2 on your Optimus and the data is automatically downloaded to the PC.
Data downloaded to a spreadsheet	Once the data is downloaded, double click on the file and Excel opens it.  When you have your list of assets and where they are you can compare them with the last stockcheck and you can see which assets are missing.  Ask us about personalised plastic barcoded labels to put on your assets.  To download a sample of asset data in CSV (Comma separated) file format - click here.
